Neymar has been sidelined for a month recovering from a right calf strain but is on track to make his tournament debut.

Ancelotti has previously stated that if Neymar is fully fit, he will figure heavily into the game plan and will likely operate centrally as an attacking midfielder rather than on the wing.

“Neymar will be training tomorrow individually, and on Monday with the rest of the team.

“He will be available for the match against Scotland,” he said following the 3-0 win over Haiti.

Brazil will take on Scotland in Miami Gardens, Florida, with both teams fighting for position in the group stage.

Neymar’s last game for Brazil was on October 17, 2023, in a 2-0 World Cup qualifying defeat against Uruguay in Montevideo, where he suffered a severe torn ACL and meniscus.

He missed the tournament’s opening draw against Morocco and the match against Haiti, but is targeting a return to action.
