Kano Pillars technical adviser, Daniel Ogunmodede, says that his team was unlucky in the goalless draw against Enyimba.
The Sai Masu Gida were held to a 0-0 draw by Enyimba at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano, on Sunday.
Ogunmodede admitted his players failed to perform in the second half due to the harsh weather condition.
The young tactician however commended his players for the courage and resilience throughout the game.
“We were extremely unlucky, we only played half of the game, the weather condition in the second half wasn’t favourable,” Ogunmodede told 54footballx.
“We didn’t play football in the second half as we only tried to redeem our image and fight.
“We played against a team that were already wounded. Five matches without a win, we know our capabilities, and we were unlucky not to score in the first half.
“The second half was tensed because of the weather I need to give kudos to my players for the fight and resilience unfortunately football happens, congratulations to Enyimba for the point.”
