Group pledges massive votes for Tinubu

A support group, the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, has promised to deliver massive votes for President Bola Tinubu in all polling units, wards and local government areas in Akwa Ibom State in the 2027 general elections.

The group, which is a coalition of other support groups in the state, also pledged to ensure the re-election of Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Governor Umo Eno and other candidates of the All Progressives Congress.

The State Coordinator of the group, Prince Ikim, made the pledge during a strategic meeting with local government and ward coordinators and other arms of the group in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state capital.

Ikim, who extolled the economic reforms of the Tinubu administration, said Nigeria’s economy would have collapsed irretrievably if the naira was not stabilised and fuel subsidy not removed.

He said, “This meeting is long overdue. It is to bring us together because we are of one party. We have one message and what is the message? It is the message of the Renewed Hope Agenda. It is the message of the ARISE Agenda.

“Let us be sincere, as far as this country is concerned, this is the first time we have a President with the political will to stand firm and remove fuel subsidy, political will to carry out reforms to better this country.

He described President Bola Tinubu as an intentional leader who has supported people-oriented projects done in Akwa Ibom State and across the country.

“As far as this country is concerned, if we did not have a President like President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, this country would have collapsed. Without that political will, we wouldn’t have success. As I speak with you today, there is no gainsaying that local governments and state governments have more money to embark on people-oriented projects. I give credit to President Bola Tinubu for all the projects done in Akwa Ibom State”, he said.

Also speaking, a former Speaker of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Aniekan Uko, said the Renewed Hope Ambassadors would galvanise votes for Tinubu, Akpabio, Eno and other APC candidates in the 2027 elections.

Speaking for Eket Senatorial District, Charles Mbong called for extensive sensitisation to enable voters in the state to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards.

“We cannot win the upcoming election without encouraging our supporters to get their PVCs. Returning Tinubu, Akpabio, Umo Eno and other APC candidates is a task that must be done,” Mbong said.
