FIFA World Cup Victory Shows Youth Can Deliver New Nigeria – Obi

Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has hailed the successful conclusion of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

He described the victory of the best team as proof that excellence thrives when young people are given the opportunity to lead.

In a statement released on Monday, Obi described the tournament’s outcome as “yet another fitting birthday gift.”

“Today, competence, capacity, character, and capability were on full display.

“It is a powerful reminder that when young people are properly nurtured, entrusted with responsibility, and given the opportunity to lead, they deliver outstanding results,” Obi said.

He said the spirit shown at the World Cup must be replicated across every sector of national life.

“This is the spirit we must replicate across every sector of our national life. A New Nigeria is Possible, and it must be reflected in every endeavour that brings pride, progress, and honour to our nation,” he added.
