Burna Boy To Perform At World Cup Final Halftime Show

Grammy Award-winning Nigerian Afrobeats singer, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy has been scheduled to perform alongside American superstars, Justin Bieber, Shakira and Madonna at the inaugural 2026 FIFA World Cup final halftime show.

Announcing the development on Wednesday, FIFA said the groundbreaking 11-minute performance will be held during the World Cup final, scheduled for Sunday, July 19 at the New York New Jersey Stadium.

According to the statement issued by FIFA, Justin Bieber will co-headline the performance alongside Madonna, Shakira and BTS, the South Korean boy band.

Burna Boy, Gustavo Dudamel, the Venezuelan conductor and music and artistic director of the New York Philharmonic; and the Webby Award-winning PS22 Chorus featuring British rock band Coldplay will also perform.

It is curated by Chris Martin of Coldplay and is aimed at supporting the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund.

Gianni Infantino, FIFA president, said the event will help advance access to education and football opportunities for children around the world.
