President Federation Cup: Ogenyi disappointed with Wikki Tourists’ elimination

Date:

Wikki Tourists technical adviser, Evans Ogenyi, has rued his team’s failure to reach the 2026 President Federation Cup final.

The Bauchi Elephants were eliminated by El-Kanemi Warriors in the semi-final at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium in Katsina.

Wikki Tourists lost the last four encounters by 3-1 against El-Kanemi Warriors on Wednesday.

Ogenyi admitted that his team was destined to be knocked out of the competition.

“The result is disappointing because it has brought an end to our campaign in the competition,” Ogenyi told the club’s media.

“We did our best to win and qualify for the final, but God has destined that this is how far we can go.”

El-Kanemi Warriors will meet Ikorodu City in the final of the competition at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba on Saturday 11 July.
